Looking for an unforgettable day on the water? Guests head out on the high-speed Silver Fox powerboat for an adventure to Bacalar Chico National Park and Marine Reserve, one of the most remote and untouched gems of Ambergris Caye. Situated along the border of Mexico, Bacalar Chico is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich biodiversity, vibrant coral reefs, and historical significance as an ancient Maya trade route.
The journey begins with a scenic ride on the Caribbean Sea before stopping at prime snorkelling and fishing spots. Guests can explore more than 100 coral species and over 500 types of fish, including barracudas, angelfish, grouper, and snapper. They’ll also have the chance to spot eagle rays, sea turtles, and nurse sharks, and even dive for conch and lobster. Between dips, enjoy refreshing drinks, snacks, and fresh fruit. For lunch, we prepare a traditional Belizean ceviche using our fresh catch from the day, served alongside cold sandwiches and ice-cold beers, rum, and more.
As the day winds down, we cruise back just in time to watch the sunset over the Caribbean, rum punch in hand, with nothing but the open sea ahead… A true off-the-beaten-path experience, Bacalar Chico is an ideal day trip for those looking to explore Belize’s raw beauty, both above and below the water.
