The view of the blue crystal clear waters, the white sand, and the palm trees are all a stable of what a tropical vacation should be. The best part of Orchid Bay was the employees. Staff were really nice and the place was really beautiful. The bar and restaurant are awesome by the pool

The resort location is amazing. I had an ocean front casita with a beautiful view of the bay from my screened in porch. Sunsets were amazing! Casita is large and very comfortable. I was alone but the unit can accommodate a family very easily. Good linens and very clean. Grounds are well maintained. The WiFi in the unit is solid and reliable. The bay in front is spectacular. Met my captains last night who I will fish 2 days with who are awesome!I enjoyed my stay so much I booked a second stay to come back down in a month. Overall great property, staff and location. Looking forward to coming back!

Orchid Bay continues to be my favorite place on Earth. I have been coming here for 9 years, and my parents own a home here. I recently had my wedding ceremony and reception along the beautiful beach. David, Damaris, and the entire Tradewinds team did a phenomenal job! I could not believe the amount of work and love they put into making this the best day of my husband and I's life. David was incredible and arranged the decorator and DJ, which brought so much ease considering I was in the states all the way up until the week before the wedding. I never had any doubts or worries, I knew I was in good hands. Some extra touches that stood out: They decked out our casita for the wedding night with rose petals, a sign, cute towel swans kissing, and a bottle of bubbly. The staff were SO attentive throughout the night. Making sure our glasses weren't empty, we had enough appetizers and were dressed up nice. They looked so cute! What made a destination wedding so special here is that they have all known me since I was a silly little girl ordering virgin strawberry daiquiri's. That is why this community is so special beyond a wedding day. The Tradewinds and the special staff apart of it makes this place memorable and a home you can always come back to. I could not be more thankful and blessed to have had our wedding day here. If you are having a destination wedding, please make this be the place to have that special day. I had another incredible Bacalar Chico snorkeling and fishing trip with Orchid Bay Resort, and it’s an experience that you won’t forget!A huge thank you to the amazing crew—Ivan, Victor, and Admin—for their care, professionalism, and strong focus on safety throughout the day. Even though the weather wasn’t ideal, they made sure the trip was still fantastic from start to finish.The snorkeling at Bacalar Chico is the best I’ve ever seen, the fishing was fun and engaging, and the food and drinks were a great touch that made the whole experience even more enjoyable.What stood out the most was how attentive and patient the crew was with two young children that were on the boat. They took extra time to ensure everyone felt comfortable and safe in the water, which meant a lot to me.I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting the area, and I’m already looking forward to the next time!(And we saw dolphins- always appreciated!)
